Responsibilities of Authors

Authorship: In alignment with the   ICMJE  recommendations, individuals meeting the following four criteria should be designated as authors:

- Drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content; AND

Test Review Guideline

All studies involving human and animal subjects must secure appropriate ethical approval and disclose it in the manuscript.

Human Ethics: YITD_LUX acknowledges the WMA Declaration of Helsinki - Ethical Principles for Medical Research Involving Human Subjects., while recognizing national and institutional variations. Any research involving human subjects or human-derived materials should acquire ethical approval in line with national and institutional guidelines. This must be explicitly outlined in the manuscript. If necessary, YITD_LUX reserves the right to communicate with the authors' institution for validation.

Informed Consent: If applicable, informed consent should be obtained from human subjects using the approved form from the institutional ethics committee before commencing any study. This requirement should be clearly stated in the manuscript. If needed, YITD_LUX reserves the right to contact the authors' institution for authentication.

Animal Ethics: All research involving animals must receive necessary ethical approval in accordance with national and institutional standards before commencing any work involving animals. This obligation should be transparently declared in the manuscript. If necessary, YITD_LUX reserves the right to contact the authors' institution for verification.

All submitted manuscripts will undergo a thorough three-step review process, encompassing a preliminary check, plagiarism assessment, and expert peer review.

Preliminary Check:
Submitted manuscripts will be initially reviewed by the journal's editorial office to ensure adherence to the guidelines for article preparation as detailed in the Manuscript Preparation Guidelines. Articles failing to comply with the guidelines will be returned to the authors for revision.

 Plagiarism Check:
Manuscripts meeting the preparation guidelines will undergo a comprehensive plagiarism check using iThenticate, a tool provided by CrossRef. The similarity index generated by iThenticate determines potential word-by-word replication of content from previously published literature. Articles with:
- More than 10% similarity index will be returned to the authors for re-writing without peer review.
- A similarity index between 1-10% will be evaluated based on COPE's guidelines on text recycling.
Manuscripts passing the plagiarism check will proceed to expert review.

 Selection of Reviewers:
YITD_LUX will appoint appropriate experts to review the manuscripts. Although authors may suggest three potential reviewers, their invitation is not guaranteed. The selected reviewers will be contacted directly by the editorial staff to gauge their interest, disclose any potential conflicts of interest, and receive access to the manuscript for review.

### Peer Review and Reviewer Responsibilities:
Reviewers will remain anonymous and are expected to maintain confidentiality, provide an impartial scientific evaluation, and disclose any conflicts of interest. Timely submission of their comments is anticipated.

Criteria for Assessing Original and Review Articles:
The assessment criteria cover various aspects, including language editing, the coherence of the abstract, adherence to ethical guidelines, robustness of research methods, adherence to statistical and reporting standards, as well as implications and conclusions drawn from the research.

Editorial Decision:
After a rigorous review process, the editorial team will make one of the following decisions based on the reviewers' comments: acceptance without modifications, an offer for revision and resubmission, or rejection. The corresponding author will be promptly informed of the outcome.

Revision and Resubmission:
If revisions are sought, the revised manuscript will undergo assessment by the original reviewers or the editor-in-chief to ensure that the earlier comments have been adequately addressed. Depending on this evaluation, the manuscript may be accepted for publication, or returned to the authors for further clarification. Once published, the decision is final and not open to appeal.

This multistep review process ensures the quality and integrity of published research and guides authors in preparing robust, impactful scientific contributions.

Every published article will receive a DOI and be registered with CrossRef.

The following sets out our commitment to publication ethics and transparency, aligning with the principles of the Committee on Publishing Ethics (COPE) and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).
